A worthy thought on creativity on a Friday, from a random internet dude:

Nothing is original. Steal from anything that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do, your work and theft will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable, originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean Luc Godard said: It’s not where you take things from, it’s where you take them.

Hungary Ericsson Lab

I frequently am reminded of comedian Louis C.K.’s bit on technology on Conan.  He’s got a bit of George Carlin in him, and I love that.  This Hungarian guy looks comme ci comme ca.  Anyone for community agriculture and slow food?  Bueller?

Now a reason to (maybe) join Twitter.

walken

I know like most non-Twitterers, we always say “it looks stupid.  140 characters?  Why not Facebook status updates or just denying the need to constantly update the world on exactly what you’re doing at that instant.  You’re not that important”.

But Christopher Walken is.  Sorry.  Not because he’s an actor, but because he’s an f’ing legend.  Golden diapers, and dude.  Pulp Fiction.  Your favourite 90s movie, MY favourite 90s movie  (save Lebowski).  If the Chinese government tried to torture me with movies, they would not succeed if they played Pulp Fiction.  Legend.  I’ve predicted that once Jeff Goldblum becomes (more) senile, he will be the 2nd renaissance of Walkenism.
